Handmade Floral embellishments ...
Once a bunch of multicolour flower, in an interesting basket drew my attention as I passed IB. Though I didn't had any pre plan to buy craft stuff but as I stepped in and saw the collection, they were so cute and attractive I honestly went insane. Everthing looked so colorful and lively. It was that day and today I'm an Itsy Bitsy regular and its very reliable. In love with the quality of products that they have.
Being India's no.1 premier Art and Craft retailer and wholesaler it provides total solution in the supply of art and craft materials under one roof. In short a One stop shop for all art and craft materials for all ages. IB has a huge range of handmade papers, felt sheets, fine art, glitter sheets, punches, jewellery, chipboards, foam stickers, glitters, quilling supplies, DIY craft kits, 3D embellishments, and what not. But patterned papers have been always on my top list whenever I visit IB.
Yesterday after months I visited IB Lajpat Nagar (ND). The store seemed flooded with their latest collection. I straightly went upstairs to my favourite section - Yes my hunt for "Designer Sheets". This time I picked wool and polyester felt sheets, Corrugated sheets, Moon rock papers and my very best-loved Cardstock. You too can shop their stuff from Itsybitsy.in , as they have only two stores in Delhi. Hope you find it easy now.
Soon I will be sharing many DIY's from IB. But for an instant start-off I began with these handmade floral embellishments. I'm sure it will take a lill time to smoothen my hand on these.
So time to get started with these cute handmade floral embellishments... Lets hit it :)
Supplies Required :
- Handmade Sheets
- Felt Sheets
- Baby Pink Pollens
- Scissors
- No glue required :)
Step 1 - Pick any colour handmade sheet ( I chose turquoise green and baby pink ), chop it out in any floral shape of three different sizes, so that they could be placed one over the other to create more exquisite flower as seen in the picture below.
Step 2 - Mark the centre of each flower and place it one over the other in descending order. Use a compass or any sharp pointed tool to make a dimple.
Step 3 - After placing the layers, fold the pollens and start inserting them into the dimples in each set of flower. As seen in picture 3. Then tie double knot at the back and chop off the extra cord.
Step 4 - Check them out.. Wasn't this a fairly simple technique? Yes it was... Don't they inspire you to get creative? Sure give it a try guys ...
Step 5 - At the end, to finish it up use distress ink and rub the corners to enhance the borders of the petals. This is how it would look finally.
Too experimented the same with baby pink sheets. To accompany these little blooms, I used green felt sheet to make creepers.
Hope so you liked my first DIY on handmade.
