What a wonderful WORLD !

India - a land of different landforms, religions, customs, traditions, art, culture, and languages.

In short its a multi religious society. India has given birth to the worlds most important cultures and religions, we find them living happily together in the same society.

The tribes of our nation forms an important part of our total population. Our country holds the largest tribal population in the world. We get to see a large number of tribes scattered from North to South and from West to East.

A fortnight long Aadi Mahotsav - It was an interaction between the young and the urban population of the cities and the tribes across the country which was organised by the Ministry Of Tribal Affairs, Government of India from 16th - 30th November, 2017 at Dilli Haat INA.

The idea of such fairs is to organise a gathering of different tribes from various cultures under one roof so that the concept of national integration and brotherhood may be propagated.

Bhils, Warlis, Bhotias, Khasis, Nagas, Kuki, lepchan, etc were the few of the tribes which showcased their  exclusive handmade Indian goods and cuisines.

Check out few glimpses and explore Art and Craft like never before .

Live by the Sun, Love by the Moon.

Live by the S un, Love by the M oon. "To love photography is to love life in all its raw, messy, and beautiful forms. Every click of the shutter is a testament to our desire to hold onto what matters—to celebrate what we see and share it with the world." I came across this story the other day.  In this story, the sun accidentally burned the moon, who ran away.  The sun was so sad that his tears fell as rain on Earth.  The sun looked for the moon until midnight, but he fell asleep.  To this day, the sun is still looking for the moon, which is why the sun is visible in the morning and the moon is visible at night.   It’s that time of year again, when the weather is dreary and we long to see the sun, and even the moon. Together, the Moon and Sun create a perfect harmony—a balance of light and shadow, rest and action, mystery and clarity. Their love story is written across the skies, a timeless dance that connects us all to something greater. Sun is not just about i...

India's best kept secret - O D I S H A

India's best kept secret - O D I S H A " Travel changes lives - for the traveller, and those they encounter. " Travelling makes beautiful stories, our most cherished memories and countless learnings that we can choose to pay forward to others. It teaches us about ourselves and each other, it broadens our horizons. I am incredibly fortunate to have parents who taught that travelling is the best classroom. Travel is so much than just getting that perfect instagram shot. Travel should always be meaningful. It should excite, inspire, rejuvenate and ground you, educate and challenge you. So, it was my third trip to Puri in a consecutive year. Odisha has always been an integral part of my life. It runs in my blood. Feel so proud belonging to this state, a state with endless beauty, mysteries and full of life.     After discovering the whole Jagannath temple we left for Puri sea beach one of the famous tourist spots in Puri, Odisha. Puri sea beach is an amazing place to ...

Pithoragarh - a hidden paradise

Pithoragarh - a hidden paradise Going to the mountains is going home.                                         - John Muir Summer vacation is the most pleasing time and are long awaited by all of us. After a year of continuous work at school, my vacations finally commenced. It's probably the happiest and most awaited period in every student and teacher's life. To improve some boredom of our daily life in the plains we once again planned to spend our vacations in our native place "Pithoragarh" - a place I die to visit every year. A trip to such place is the best way to spend my vacation.  Image Source : Deepak Chand On both sides of the road, we could see the lofty green hills, floating clouds, humming bees, delicious fresh fruits hanging, chirping of birds, soothing smell of trees and cool breeze all around. Even a large number of waterfalls were seen on our way.  ...
