India's best kept secret - O D I S H A
"Travel changes lives - for the traveller, and those they encounter."
Travelling makes beautiful stories, our most cherished memories and countless learnings that we can choose to pay forward to others. It teaches us about ourselves and each other, it broadens our horizons. I am incredibly fortunate to have parents who taught that travelling is the best classroom. Travel is so much than just getting that perfect instagram shot. Travel should always be meaningful. It should excite, inspire, rejuvenate and ground you, educate and challenge you.
So, it was my third trip to Puri in a consecutive year. Odisha has always been an integral part of my life. It runs in my blood. Feel so proud belonging to this state, a state with endless beauty, mysteries and full of life.
After discovering the whole Jagannath temple we left for Puri sea beach one of the famous tourist spots in Puri, Odisha. Puri sea beach is an amazing place to visit in the morning or evening period. You will witness the beautiful views of sunrise and sunset both. This is mostly packed with local crowd enjoying their moments with the sea waves. Devotees visiting Jagannath temple do not miss this place because this is considered as a holy place connected with the origin of Lord Jagannath. The Samundra Aarti is offered to the sea according to Vedic rituals, which is surely not a miss. This peaceful and pious city is a famous Indian travel destination that attracts devotees and tourists from all over the world.
There's nothing quite like seeing the sky blending from pink to orange, as the Sun floats above the horizon. What better way to start your day watching a beautiful sunrise.
Sunsets bring with itself, such orangish colours in the sky. It brings a new hope. A hope for a new sunrise. A hope for a better tomorrow. They make me feel calm and peaceful. It gives the feeling that nothing stays forever, whether its happiness or sorrows. Times change. Things change.
Travelling take some out of my comfort zone and inspires me to see, taste and try new things. One thing I never find on a packing list is a DIET. Leave it at home! Do taste new flavours and enjoy all the delicacies. Be it their famous Odia pakhala thali, chenna poda or khajja are seriously not a miss.

Konark, a historical town in Odisha, is well-known worldwide for the Sun Temple, which is even one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Furthermore, Konark’s Sun Temple is an architectural wonder and one of India’s most beautiful monuments. It is said to be one of the oldest and most beautiful protected monument in country. Crafted from stone in the shape of a chariot, this originally huge structure was designed such that it gave the façade of running on 24 wheels by 7 horses but most of it now sadly is in a state of ruin. The roads within Orissa surprised me with the great quality, and the Konark - Puri Marine Road drive was one of a class.
My hunger for travelling is gonna be never ending. Remember that nothing can stop you from seeking adventures and exploring the globe. One advice would be to go and see this wonderful corner of India. O D I S H A is definitely an unsung gem of India.
Signing off for now.
